Ghaziabad Police crackdown on notorious robbery gang, four arrested

In a joint operation, the Crime Branch of Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate and the Loni border police team captured two wanted burglars and two of their associates on Monday.

Two of the accused identified as Bhagat Pardi, resident of village Bilakhedi, and Khalnayak Pardi, resident of village Chhoti Kaneri had a reward of RS 50,000 on their heads. The burglars had stolen from a jewellery shop by breaking its shutter in the Thana Loni Border area.

According to the police, the accused, along with their accomplices, committed a theft in a jeweller's shop in the Loni Border area on 10/01/24. Some of their accomplices have already been apprehended. Additionally, a cash reward of Rs 50,000 was offered in connection with the same incident.

Police also informs that they got information that the Pardis gang from Madhya Pradesh, known for stealing from jewellers' shops, has become active again in the area and is planning a major theft today.

In response, the Crime Branch Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad and Police Station Loni Border Police took immediate action. They surrounded the Pardis gang at the Behta Hajipur underpass and, after a police encounter, arrested four suspects. Two of the suspects were injured during the encounter, and the other two were arrested at the scene. The other two accused arrested are Vinod Pardi and Rahul Pardi, residents of Bilakhedi village.

The injured were taken to hospital. On their arrest, the police recovered pistols, live cartridges, and stolen silver coins in their possession.

Several cases of theft, robbery, dacoity, etc. are registered against the accused arrested during the police encounter. Other detailed investigation is being done. (ANI)
