Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan hit out at the previous YSRCP government, stating the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Babu came to power at a time when there was financial mismanagement in the state.

The Andhra CM alleged that the previous government, under the leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy, neglected development and said there was no employment for youth in the last few years.

"We came to power at a time when there was financial mismanagement and misappropriation in the state. And the state financial situation is in such a chaotic manner. People gave us a great mandate. Believed in us. And they give us 160 plus seats and 21 Members of Parliament to the National Democratic Alliance government under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu," Kalyan told ANI.

He was reacting to the 100 days celebrations following the NDA coalition government's return to power in the state.

"It is quite a challenge for all of us. I think that people got so vexed up with the previous government and we fought that way to form the government...The moment we came, one thing we had observed over the last few years was that there was no employment for the youth," Kalyan added.

Actor-politician and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan added, "The moment the NDA government came under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, 16, 437 teacher posts were taken up... The previous government focused on welfare and neglected development."

Chandrababu Naidu led the TDP-BJP-Janasena National Democratic Alliance to a landslide victory in the Assembly as well as parliamentary elections.

Janasena Party won all 21 assembly constituencies it contested in the assembly polls. Lok Sabha and assembly polls were held simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP has 135 MLAs in the Andhra Pradesh assembly, while the Janasena Party has 21 and the BJP eight. The opposition YSR Congress Party has 11 MLAs. (ANI)
