Rajnath Singh greets Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami on his birthday

Extending best wishes to Uttarakhand Chief Minister on his birthday, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said Pushkar Singh Dhami is making "exceptional efforts towards the development of his state and improve the lives its people."

"My best wishes to Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri @pushkardhami on his birthday. He is making exceptional efforts towards the development of his state and improve the lives its people. Wishing him a long and healthy life," Singh posted on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Sahah also wished CM Dhami on his birthday.

"Best wishes to Uttarakhand CM Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji, who is at the forefront of various initiatives to transform the state. May he lead a long and healthy life. @pushkardhami," PM Modi posted on social media platform X.

Replying to PM Modi, CM Dhami said, "Respected Prime Minister, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your blessings and affectionate wishes! Under your able leadership and guidance, we are continuously working towards the all-round and holistic development of Uttarakhand. Your blessings always inspire us to achieve the goal of a strong and prosperous Uttarakhand.

Replying to Amit Shah, CM Dhami wrote, "Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Honourable Shri @AmitShahji, I am heartily grateful for your heartfelt wishes. Your good wishes will always provide new energy and enthusiasm for works in the interest of the state. Under your able guidance, we are establishing new sources of livelihood in the state through cooperation, which will prove to be a milestone in achieving the goal of self-reliant Uttarakhand."

Meanwhile, CM Dhami celebrated his birthday with the visually impaired children at the National Drishti Divyangjan Empowerment Institute located at Rajpur Road in Dehradun.

On the occasion, he fed cake to the children and wished them a bright future.

Dhami said, "I always wait to come here among the children on this day and it feels very good to come here. I pray to God for the bright future of all your children. I have full faith that in the future, whatever field you go to, you will definitely be successful in your chosen endeavour. There is no such work that you people cannot do."

He further added that PM Modi is striving for the all-round development of Divyang children. The word Divyang has also been coined by Modi ji. Dhami said, "the best wishes of the entire country and the state are with you."

The chief minister said that the state is grappling with disaster at many places and requested the people to reach out to those suffering by helping them in every possible way.

Dhami said, "The Prime minister has envisioned the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand and we are all working with our full might to make it a reality."

The specially abled children also sang a song from a Bollywood movie on the occasion.

Dhami said, "Every year I make it a point to come to visit these children on my birthday and these kids are special in every way. I owe my appreciation to the institute people for helping these children in living a life of respect."

On his birthday, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a football tournament at the institute. (ANI)
