Google is set to bring together tech and entertainment at its Pixel 11 launch, where several celebrities are expected to be in attendance.
Notably, comedian Trevor Noah will be seen hosting the event on August 12, as per The Verge. In a video, Google announced Trevor as the host for the event. The video also hinted that the event will feature a lineup of other celebrities and influencers, including Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper (who attended the 2025 event), Indian cricketer Shubman Gill and Japanese actress Ayami Nakajo (both of whom have appeared in Pixel campaigns), and NBA star and Google Performance Advisor Stephen Curry. Cooper and Trevor Noah are also set to bring their shows to YouTube. Jimmy Fallon hosted the show last year, an event that my colleague Victoria Song described as more like "a live taping of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" than a traditional tech launch event. Given the celebrity faces set to appear at this year's event, it seems that Google is once again aiming to reach a more mainstream audience. Google also teased the Pixel 11 Pro with HiLight active and the Pixel Watch 5 very briefly for the first time. (ANI)
