Amid tributes pouring in for industrialist and aviator Vijaypat Singhania, dairy brand Amul has released a poignant topical titled 'The Complete Man,' honouring the legacy of the former Raymond Group chairman following his passing.
The illustration draws from the iconic Raymond Group tagline "The Complete Man," a brand identity widely associated with Singhania's leadership. The tribute comes days after the company confirmed his death through social media, sharing a black-and-white photograph alongside the message: "A Journey Concludes. Marking the end of a storied journey. We pause to remember the vision and the era of Dr. Vijaypat Singhania." https://www.instagram.com/p/DWdwCW2Eb2Y/ Singhania, who passed away on March 28, 2026, in Mumbai at the age of 87, served as chairman of the Raymond Group from 1980 to 2000. During his tenure, he transformed the company into a global textile and apparel powerhouse while expanding its interests into engineering and aviation. He is credited with cementing the "Complete Man" positioning, which became one of India's most recognisable brand campaigns. Beyond business, Singhania was a celebrated aviator who held multiple world records. His contributions extended into public service as well; he was conferred the Padma Bhushan in 2006, held the honorary rank of Air Commodore in the Indian Air Force, and served as the Sheriff of Mumbai. His last rites were performed on March 29 at Chandanwadi Crematorium in Mumbai, as confirmed by his son Gautam Singhania. https://www.instagram.com/p/DWb4h55ko0U/ With its latest topical, Amul continues its tradition of capturing defining national moments, offering a visual homage to a figure who shaped both Indian industry and branding history.
