The eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha, held on Friday, focused on the crucial role that proper eating and sleeping habits play in improving exam performance.

The session featured experts in nutrition and wellness, including author and macrobiotic nutritionist Shonali Sabherwal, nutritionist and wellness expert Rujuta Diwekar, and health and nutrition influencer Revant Himatsingka.

The discussion, moderated by Sharat Bhattatiripad, highlighted how a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle can help manage stress and boost focus during exams.

Revant Himatsingka, known for his initiative Label Padhega India, shared his vision for improving health awareness across the country.

"The idea was to know about the things that we are consuming. If every person in India starts reading labels, they will know what they are eating. My goal is to include health in the school curriculum in the next 5 years," Himatsingka said during the conversation.

His mission is to ensure that children are educated about food and health from an early age, which could significantly improve overall well-being and help students make informed choices as they grow.

Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar also contributed to the discussion, stressing the importance of a varied diet.

"As we have different subjects in school, we should have variety in our diet. There are a few food items that are good destressers. They are peanuts, bananas, and rice. These three things must be included in the diet," Diwekar said.

Her advice underlined how simple, easily available foods can help manage stress and keep students energized throughout their studies.

Since 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has served as a unique platform for Prime Minister Modi to engage with students, parents, and teachers to discuss the challenges of exam preparation and stress management.

The event is organised annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education.

The first three editions of Pariksha Pe Charcha took place in New Delhi in an interactive town hall format.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fourth edition was held virtually. The event later resumed in a physical format at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi, offering a more direct and engaging experience for participants.

The 2025 edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was broadcast across various platforms, ensuring that students and educators from across the country could participate in the discussion.

The session was available on the Prime Minister's official X profile, the PMO's X handle, and the PM's YouTube channel, making it accessible to millions nationwide. (ANI)
