New Delhi [India], January 17: There's a part of India where blooming green forests stretch as far as the eye can see, where waterfalls cascade in harmony, and ancient temples stand silent witnesses to history. This is Jharkhand, a state that remains one of India's most beautiful, yet often overlooked, gems. In the new travel documentary Jharkhand: The Hidden Heart of India, actress and model Simone Singh takes viewers on an intimate, first-hand journey through this enchanting region. She serves as the host and guide, walking through the heart of the state, uncovering its secrets with a sense of awe and reverence.

Premiering on January 18th, this show captures Jharkhand's stunning landscapes and its vibrant culture through Singh's explorations. As she treks through dense pine forests, stands in awe of the towering waterfalls, and navigates bustling local markets, the audience is transported alongside her. It's an experience that feels deeply personal - Simone's reflections on the places she visits offer not just facts, but genuine moments of wonder, making Jharkhand's beauty and history come alive on screen.

For Tanaz Mehta, Business Head at Warner Bros. Discovery, the partnership with Jharkhand Tourism for this series goes beyond producing just another travel show. It represents a shared vision to showcase a state that remains largely undiscovered to a wider audience. "Our collaboration with Jharkhand Tourism has allowed us to create something truly special," says Mehta. "Jharkhand offers a kind of untouched, authentic beauty that's increasingly rare in today's world. With Simone Singh leading the way, we wanted to highlight that raw charm and invite viewers to uncover the state's treasures as she experiences them.''

In the first episode, viewers journey through the peaceful hills of Netarhat to the shimmering waters of Patratu Lake, experiencing Jharkhand's raw, untamed beauty creating moments of serene reflection. Stepping into Jharkhand's remarkable wildlife, Simone ventures into the Ormanjhi Zoo, showcasing the state's rich biodiversity. The series is as much about Jharkhand's cultural roots as it is about its natural splendour. In the second episode, it weaves in the state's cultural soul, depicting devotion, architecture, and some finger-licking food, with a respectful nod to Jharkhand's deep-rooted history and vibrant traditions.

Each stop on her journey highlights the perfect harmony between the state's untamed landscapes and its age-old traditions. Whether she's sampling local cuisine like Dhuska Chhola or admiring the intricate artistry of Dokra metalwork, Simone's experience feels like a love letter to Jharkhand's heritage.

Anjali Yadav, Director of Jharkhand Tourism, views the partnership with WBD as pivotal in showcasing the state's unique allure. "Collaborating with WBD allows us to showcase Jharkhand's untouched beauty and give viewers a firsthand experience of the state."

With Jharkhand: The Hidden Heart of India, Simone Singh takes us on a soulful journey through a state where every corner holds a story waiting to be told. Simone Singh reflects on her journey, saying, "Filming this project with Warner Bros. Discovery has been an absolute joy. Jharkhand has been a revelation. Having left Jamshedpur as a young teen, returning to experience its vibrant art, rich culture, warm hospitality, and breathtaking natural beauty has been both emotional and enlightening." Whether standing at the edge of a thundering waterfall or wandering through the markets filled with vibrant local crafts, Singh's curiosity and warmth make the audience feel like a companion on this unforgettable adventure.
