US President Donald Trump on Thursday (local time) stated that Iran's biggest bridge has been hit and, in a sharply worded statement, called on Tehran to make a deal before it is "too late."
He made the remarks in a post on Truth Social and shared a video clip which showed a bridge coming down. Trump said, "The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again -- Much more to follow! IT IS TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY! President DONALD J. TRUMP" According to Iranian state TV, the attack on the bridge, connecting the province to Tehran, left at least two dead and several injured, The Hill reported. Earlier, US CENTCOM in a post on X shared remarks by CENTCOM Commander Adm Brad Cooper, who said that the US is making "undeniable progress" as the campaign against Iran stands in its fifth week. "Now in our 5th week of the campaign, it is my operational assessment that we are making undeniable progress. We don't see their navy sailing. We don't see their aircraft flying, and their air and missile defense systems have largely been destroyed." - Adm. The IDF said in a post on X that more than 50 targets of the ballistic missile array in Iran were struck. As per the IDF, "The Oil HQs enable the continuation of IRGC activities and military buildup through profits from oil sales. Eshaqi led the financial arm of the regime's forces and oversaw military industries responsible for producing ballistic missiles.
