Buffet told ANI that the perpetrators should not be let go without any punishment.

"I would like to say on the behalf of the French government, to the Indian people and to its leaders, our sadness, our anger too, and also our solidarity in the face of this incident that has occurred. And it's in incidents like these that we need to express our solidarity and be together as nations to fight against terrorism. I would also like to send my thought out to people who lost their lives and like to say that we'll not let the people who did this without any punishment. We'll fight against them together," he said.

Buffet said that the Milipol India Exhibition is a way of acting against terrorism, and vowed that France will come together with India to fight terrorism.

"We have already seen this exhibition. Milipol India Exhibition is an example of a step that is being taken against terrorism and it is a common objective for all the countries. We will come together and we'll fight against it [terrorism]. We also had a conversation on the subject with the minister, and we have definitely decided to exchange information and tactics that can be used against terrorism," he said.

He added that the bond between India and France has only grown in the past few years in all aspects.

"I would like to say that the bond between these two countries is very strong and deep. We have seen in the recent years the bond has only become stronger. It is not just about security, but it is about cultural aspects and students who are going to study in other countries. We are looking forward to working and strengthening the link between the two countries now and in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) is likely to discuss the issue of security in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, following the brutal terror attack in the region, sources from the Defence Ministry have informed on Wednesday. (ANI)
