Moulding clay into various shapes, creatures, and materials, couples in Nepal found a new way to express their love on Valentine's Day. The couples went on a clay date, working hand-on-hand to mould shapes.

Dozens of couples put their hand in hand to shape the clay into heart, star, rabbits and other creatures to mark this day.

"In my perspective, this kind of activity would help strengthen the relationship between the couple. This activity also is about spending quality time in a fun way obviously will build a relationship," Shristi Rai, one of the participants, told ANI.

Rai spent hours with her partner crafting and moulding various shapes and creatures at the event on Friday, along with other couples. On Valentine's Day, couples around the world marked the day by exchanging gifts and expressing their love on this special occasion.

"The main objective behind holding this event on Valentine's Day is following the belief that clay can be moulded into various shapes. The clay in its' raw form can be developed into any form, couples were targeted for the event in which they have been participating to develop and work further on smoothening their relation," Sumitra Baral, one of the organizer of the clay date event told ANI.

The final and the most significant day of the week-long celebration has become a globally recognized festival. People believe the day originated in memory of Saint Valentine, who sacrificed his life for love and marriage. They observe this day every year on February 14 to honour his dedication. (ANI)
