In a vibrant celebration of diversity and togetherness, two renowned British artists of Indian origin Jignesh Patel and Yash Patel, unveiled a striking mural titled, "We all laugh and cry in the same language". The mural was painted as part of a community art initiative to promote unity and represent the cultural richness of Slough, as per an official statement.

The two artists are also Guinness World Record holders.

The mural, which now graces the walls of Triple S AutoCare, features flags from various countries, symbolising global harmony and shared humanity. Individuals from across the community, including children and families, participated in the painting, making the mural a true reflection of the town's diversity.

The unveiling event was attended by several prominent figures, including Slough Mayor Balwinder Singh Dhillon, Slough Council Leader Dexter Smith, and Slough MP Tan Dhesi. Also in attendance were local council members Ezaz Ahmed, Chandra Muvvala, and Ifftakar Ahmed, who showed their support for this inspiring project, as per the statement.

The event was supported by the Indian Diaspora in the UK (IDUK Group), who invited local families to join the workshop and paint flags of their choice, fostering a sense of inclusion and community spirit.

This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts to bridge cultures and promote peace through art in Slough, showcasing the town's commitment to multiculturalism.

"We're proud to support such an inspiring project that reflects the values of togetherness and inclusivity," said Hirdesh Gupta, Ajay Murudkar and Alok Gupta from IDUK. "This mural is a powerful reminder that despite our differences, we are all connected by the same emotions and shared experiences."

The statement said that the mural will remain a permanent feature in the heart of Slough serving as a symbol of communal harmony and the town's dedication to diversity, said Paresh Shah, the owner of Triple S MoT Center. (ANI)
