The chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, on Saturday said the general elections on February 8 will be a struggle between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and his party, as he called on the peoplec to vote for the 'arrow' in the forthcoming polls, according to the ARY News.

Addressing a public meeting in Kot Addu, the former foreign minister said the PPP fully believes in "vote power."

Bilawal stated that all parties, with the exception of the PPP, represent elites who benefit affluent individuals while harming the poor.

He claimed that a victory for his party would come as a 'sigh of relief' for the average citizen, adding that the February 8 general elections would be a fight between only two major parties--the PPP and PML-N, according to ARY News.

Coming down heavily on the PML-N, Bilawal claimed that in the NA-127 constituency of Lahore, from where he was running for office, the people do not even have access to clean drinking water.

Bilawal stated that the PPP's 10-point programme will help the country overcome all political, economic, and security issues.

"Pakistan can get rid of inflation and poverty by implementation of our 10-point economic agenda," Bilawal was quoted as saying by ARY News.

Earlier, in January, the PPP chairman formally launched his party's manifesto for the February 8 elections, promising 300 free units of power for every household and the construction of three million residences.

The manifesto includes pledges to increase incomes, build three million residences, and give 300 free units of electricity to each household, which will be accomplished by establishing green energy parks in each district and using solar and wind energy sources. (ANI)
