Inter Milan clinched their 21st Serie A title, having finished runners-up to Napoli last season after ending an 11-year drought the year before. The triumph keeps them second on the all-time winners' list behind Juventus. The title also marks a milestone for manager Cristian Chivu, who secured his first senior trophy after taking charge in June 2025, replacing Simone Inzaghi. During the celebrations, midfielder Nicolo Barella was reminded of his leadership role in Italy's squad that failed to qualify for a third consecutive FIFA World Cup. "That's football and life. There are difficult moments," Barella said, according to ESPN. "For example, last season we came so close to everything and won nothing. In life you've always got to get back up on your feet."
