Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday heard the grievances and complaints of people from different parts of the state at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister's Camp Office.

According to a release, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that every public grievance is addressed with sensitivity, transparency and within a stipulated timeframe so that citizens do not have to make repeated visits to government offices.

CM Dhami said the state government is committed to public welfare and good governance, adding that the prompt resolution of public grievances remains one of its top priorities.

He emphasised that the accountability of the administration is meaningful only when citizens' issues are resolved efficiently and within the prescribed time. He instructed officials to thoroughly examine every complaint, take appropriate action in accordance with the rules, and keep complainants informed about the progress of their cases.

The Chief Minister said it is the responsibility of the government to fulfil the expectations of the people of Uttarakhand and urged officials to work with a spirit of public service while maintaining sensitivity and accountability in addressing public issues.

He also made it clear that unnecessary delays in resolving citizens' grievances would not be tolerated.

During the interaction, CM Dhami directed Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop and Garhwal Inspector General Rajiv Swaroop to ensure priority-based disposal of the grievances received.

As per the release, CM Dhami instructed that issues which can be resolved at the district or departmental level should be addressed immediately, while matters requiring higher-level intervention should be forwarded to the concerned departments without delay for necessary action.

He further directed officials to strengthen the public grievance redressal system and make it more effective and result-oriented so that every citizen receives timely relief and justice. (ANI)
