Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav condemned former Minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu over his alleged abusive remarks against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and demanded legal action.

Yadav attended the World Cancer Day awareness rally, which ran from the Kali Mata Temple to the YMCA. Additionally, a Cancer Walkathon was organised on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam.

Slogans such as "Good Morning Vizag...Go Back Cancer" echoed throughout the march.

Doctors, medical staff, athletes, women, and volunteers actively participated in the rally. State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Satya Kumar Yadav said that Rambabu's remarks reveal the "mental mindset" of YSRCP. He asked for legal action against him to avoid recurrence.

"The comments made by Ambati reflect the culture of that party and reveal his mental mindset. In politics, opponents should be seen as rivals, not enemies. Are they trying to incite hatred in society? Winning and losing elections is natural. Making such statements out of frustration after defeat is not appropriate. We have seen the public backlash against these statements. There must be legal action against such individuals; otherwise, more people will dare to cross limits," he said.

Furthermore, he condemned personal attacks made by political leaders, adding that such actions are a conspiracy to create unrest in the state.

"Today, Ambati speaks about Chandrababu Naidu, someone else will speak about Jaganmohan Reddy. Personal attacks by leaders of any party are not acceptable. This applies to everyone -- all must show restraint. It all appears to be pre-planned. At a time when the state is witnessing investments, job creation, and development, such actions should be seen as a conspiracy to create unrest in the state," he added.

Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the importance of awareness and informed about critical changes underway for cancer prevention across the state.

Awareness about cancer must increase among every individual. We are establishing a strong cancer prevention system across the state. Along with conducting free screening tests, special arrangements are being made in hospitals for cancer treatment. Early detection can save lives through proper and timely treatment.

He further announced the formation of Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Centres in all state hospitals. The Minister also emphasised the HPV vaccination of girls between the ages of 9 and 15.

"In the coming financial year, more hospitals in the state will have Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Centres. Girls aged 9 to 15 years must get the HPV vaccine. Around 200 deaths occur daily due to cervical cancer. Prevention of cancer is possible only through awareness," he added.

Earlier today, Ambati Rambabu was arrested at his residence in Vikas Nagar in Guntur on Saturday after police surrounded the place, took him into custody, and escorted him in a police van, according to Guntur West DSP.

This comes after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers on Saturday staged a protest at the office of the Guntur district YSRCP president, Ambati Rambabu, in Vikas Nagar, triggering a heavy police deployment and tense scenes in the city. (ANI)
