Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday met Nitin Nabin, the newly appointed working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in the national capital and extended his congratulations, describing the moment as inspiring and forward-looking for the country.
"I have come here to congratulate the new BJP working president, Nitin Nabin. I am very happy to congratulate him. He is young and has good experience working in the BJP," Naidu said after the meeting. Praising the Centre's leadership, the Andhra Pradesh CM said the country was witnessing rapid progress. "This is an inspiring time. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing very rapidly," Naidu said. Naidu further emphasised the importance of collective effort in nation-building and expressed confidence in Nitin Nabin's ability to shoulder greater responsibilities within the party. "We are very happy, and we will work together to strengthen his hands in the future to do extraordinary work for this great nation," he told the reporters. Earlier on Monday, Bihar Minister and MLA Nitin Nabin took charge as the Bharatiya Janata Party National Working President in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the party's National President JP Nadda. Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Delhi BJP Chief Virendraa Sachdeva and other party senior leaders were also present on the occasion. Nitin Nabin, 45, is the youngest BJP National Working President. A five-time MLA from Bihar, Nabin currently serves as the state's Road Construction Minister and has previously held portfolios including Urban Development and Housing and the Law Department. (ANI)
