MP CM Mohan Yadav attends wedding of BJP leader Lal Singh Arya's daughter in Gwalior

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the wedding of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) SC Morcha National President, Lal Singh Arya's daughter in Gwalior district on Monday and blessed the newly-wed couple.

Speaking to reporters, CM Yadav said, "There is an auspicious wedding function in the family of my friend, former minister, and senior BJP leader, Lal Singh Arya. I extend my congratulations to the newlyweds. Lal Singh has extensive experience of working for the party and with the government, and in such a situation we also have responsibilities within the social sphere. This is a family function for me as well, and I once again congratulate the newlywed couple."

Additionally, the Chief Minister posted on his 'X' handle that he attended the wedding ceremony and blessed the couple for a happy married life.

"Today, I attended the wedding ceremony of BJP SC Morcha National President Lal Singh Arya's daughter in Gwalior and wished the newlywed couple a happy married life," the CM said in the post.

Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister Yadav paid a courtesy call on Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, at his residence during a visit to New Delhi. During the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the Union Minister, Khattar, about the preparations and other major projects related to the Simhastha 2028 event.

Simhastha is a Hindu religious Mela held every 12 years in the Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh. It is also known as the Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh, and the previous Simhastha was held in 2016.

CM Yadav informed the Union Minister in detail about the infrastructural development works in the Simhastha area, including proposals for their expansion, traffic management, cleanliness, sanctity, river conservation, drinking water arrangements, and temporary accommodation construction.

He stated that the state government is developing various multi-dimensional plans to make Simhastha 2028 an international-level event of the highest standard.

The Chief Minister also briefed him on the progress of major schemes of the central government such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, AMRUT Mission, Smart City initiative, power projects and other schemes related to urban infrastructure on the occasion. (ANI)
