Amidst the unresolved seat-sharing formula in the Mahagathbandhan, Congress leader Pawan Khera on Thursday asked why the National Democratic Alliance is raising questions on the issue.

Khera informed that candidates are filing their nominations and the procedure for seat distribution is underway. He affirmed clearance on the situation and mentioned that the Mahagathbandhan government will be formed in Bihar.

"The work is going on very well, symbols are being distributed. Those who have to file nominations are also doing so. The process has started... Very soon, the entire situation will be clear to everyone. The Mahagathbandhan government is going to be formed. Why is the NDA raising questions? They should think about themselves," Khera told ANI.

Earlier on October 15, following the Congress Election Committee meeting, AICC in-charge for Bihar, Krishna Allavaru, said that the party will soon announce its list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

"We will soon announce the names of candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections... Our priority seats got cleared in the CEC meeting. There is clarity in the Mahagathbandhan," said Krishna Allavaru on Tuesday.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, also filed his nomination from Raghopur assembly constituency on Wednesday ahead of the assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan has yet to finalise its seat-sharing formula; the NDA parties, including the BJP, JD(U), LJP (R), HAM, and RLM, have almost declared their candidates for the seats they are contesting.

The final date for filing a nomination for the first phase of the Assembly elections is October 17, while that for the second phase is October 20.

Polls for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly are scheduled to take place on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes to follow on November 14. (ANI)
