Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to grant an ad-hoc bonus of up to Rs 7,000 to Class-4 employees, making their Diwali more joyful.

The ad hoc bonus of up to Rs 7,000 will be granted to approximately 16,921 Class-4 employees. This includes employees working under state cabinet departments, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Whip, Deputy Whip, Deputy Chief Whip as well as those in panchayats, university-affiliated colleges, grant-in-aid schools and colleges, and Class-4 employees in state government boards and corporations, where the respective boards or corporations do not otherwise provide bonuses, according to the release from Gujarat CMO.

The Chief Minister has also directed the state finance department to issue the necessary orders over this matter.

Earlier, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, during the event of state-level Grand Convention of Nomedic and Denotified Tribes, announced that in the last three years, scholarship assistance of Rs 297 crore has been paid to more than 27 lakh beneficiaries from the Nomedic and Denotified Tribes. The loan assistance of Rs 105 crore has been provided to 8,448 beneficiaries.

The Gujarat CM also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the vision of "Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, and Sauno Prayas" framed government policies and schemes keeping in mind even the smallest and the poorest person, ensuring that development is centred around the common and middle-class people for building Viksit Bharat.
