Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Wednesday said the people of Bihar want change and expressed confidence that his party, along with allies, will form the government with a clear majority in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Ahead of the Congress Working Committee meeting in Patna, he added that the party will fight the elections with full strength.

Speaking to the reporters, Sachin Pilot said, "Bihar is an important state in the politics of the country. I am happy that the CWC meeting is taking place here after a long time... Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will be attending the meeting. The Bihar Assembly elections will be discussed in the meeting. We are going to fight the elections with full strength. The people of Bihar want change, and we will form the government with a clear majority."

When asked about the chief ministerial face, Pilot said the party is united in fighting the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and that a decision on the chief ministerial face will be taken once the polls are announced.

"We are fighting the elections together. Let the elections get announced. All the other details will be given after that," Pilot said.

The CWC meeting will take place at Sadaqat Ashram, Patna, Congress's headquarters in Bihar.

The meeting is to be attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) president Rajesh Ram, the party's Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, and Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan, among others.

The party's state in-charge, Krishna Allavaru, informed of the CWC meet in a press conference on Monday, while highlighting that the party is set to discuss multiple issues, including alleged 'vote chori' (vote theft) and others, such as increasing crime, unemployment, and inflation, which are plaguing the state.
