Ahead of the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) to be held in Patna on September 24, Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan on Tuesday termed Migration a "Very big issue", alongwith unemployment and the state's other problems being part of the debate.

Speaking to ANI, Khan further spoke on the venue of the CWC meeting and stated that the Sadaqat Ashram has its own historic status.

"The CWC is being held at a very historic place (Sadaqat Ashram). It has its own significance. The kind of atmosphere the current government in Bihar has created, the poor have become poorer. Migration from Bihar is a very big issue. Bihar's problems and unemployment are part of the debate. Sadaqat Ashram has its own historic status, and a meeting is being held here after independence..." Khan told ANI.

The meeting takes place amid a nationwide agitation against alleged vote tampering, with a signature campaign underway across the country. The upcoming Bihar elections are expected to be a major topic of discussion, given the state's political significance.

Earlier in the day, Congress MP KC Venugopal also geared up for the meeting and, while speaking to ANI, said, "We are doing the CWC meeting in Patna, the meeting is not related to elections... we are doing this very frequently. There are many issues to be discussed... there's a national agitation against vote theft. A signature campaign is also underway across the country... therefore, we have to also discuss this apart from many other political issues. Of course, the Bihar elections will be a topic of discussions..."

Multiple leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, state party president Rajesh Ram, party's Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, state's Legislative Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan, among others, are likely to attend the meeting.
