Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) National Media Incharge and Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni on Thursday expressed deep concern over the devastation caused by cloudbursts and landslides in Uttarakhand, asserting that the disaster had left wounds that would take a long time to heal.

The BJP leader shared a video and said that the scale of destruction in the state had been severe.

In a post on X, the BJP leader said, "The severe cloudburst and landslides in Uttarakhand this year have left such deep wounds that it will take a long time to heal them. Yesterday evening, I am sharing with you all a terrifying scene of a landslide in the disaster-affected area. This scene itself speaks volumes about the severe natural calamity that our Uttarakhand is going through at this time. From Baba Kedarnath, I pray for the safe life, good health, and prosperity of all people. In this hour of disaster, I appreciate the dedication of all the officials, NDRF-SDRF personnel, administration, and the workers clearing debris from the roads even in challenging circumstances."
