Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday hit out at the Congress over an AI-generated video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, calling it a 'vile act' and said that this is not just an insult to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, but to the dignity of every mother.

She said that the Congress, having lost public trust, has completely torn apart the norms of political decorum, calling it a "premeditated conspiracy."

In a post on X, CM Rekha Gupta shared, "The Congress, having lost public trust, has completely torn apart the norms of political decorum. First, it insulted the late mother of the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji from a public platform, and now it is repeating the same vile act through a fake AI video. This is not just an insult to the Prime Minister's mother, but to the dignity of every mother. This is not a coincidence, but a premeditated conspiracy. On the behest of Rahul Gandhi, the revered mother of the Prime Minister ji is being continuously humiliated. This hateful and petty behaviour of the Congress is a grave violation of respect for women and mothers."

"In our culture, the mother holds the highest position, and the Congress is repeatedly wounding it. The honour of every mother in India must remain secure. The Congress should shut down this shop of hatred and apologise to every mother in the country," she added.

In an AI-generated video posted by the Bihar Congress that has gone viral, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen dreaming about his late mother, Heeraben Modi, who is lambasting him over his politics.

The party had come under fire once before, while an unknown person had gone up to the stage of Congress-led 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar's Darbhanga and hurled abuses at PM Modi and his mother.

In reponse, the BJP launched a massive attack against the opposition parties, especially Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav over the alleged abuses.

Earlier, PM Modi also hit out at the RJD and Congress over the alleged remarks against her mother. Speaking at an event, he said that the abusive comments were not just an insult to his mother, but to all mothers, sisters and daughters of the country.

"Mother is our world. Mother is our self-respect. I had not even imagined what happened a few days ago in this tradition-rich Bihar. My mother was abused by the RJD-Congress in Bihar. These abuses are not just an insult to my mother. These are insults to the mothers, sisters and daughters of the country," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister stated that he was separated from his mother so that he could serve the country's other women. He stated that his mother, who passed away after completing 100 years and had nothing to do with politics, was abused by the state of RJD and Congress. (ANI)
