Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the previous governments of the state, saying that earlier, most of the recruitment processes were referred to the CBI for investigation. The Chief Minister alleged that they used to loot the people of Uttar Pradesh by recruiting more people by taking money from the members of one family.

Speaking at an event in Lucknow, CM Yogi said, "Earlier, most recruitment processes were referred to the CBI for investigation...These are the same people who used to recruit more people by taking money from the members of one family, and used to loot the people of Uttar Pradesh in this way, the looting which was seen in that form today. That recruitment is from 2016, and we had it investigated. The investigation is going on, and if the investigation is completed on time, then many such people involved in it will be forced to spend the rest of their lives in jail...".

CM Yogi stated that in the last eight years, around 2 lakh 19 thousand police personnel have been successfully recruited.

The Chief Minister further said, "...In the last eight years, we have successfully recruited 2 lakh 19 thousand police personnel who are serving in Uttar Pradesh. Just imagine that the recruitment of 2 lakh 19 thousand police personnel has been completed in these eight years only, out of which, recently, the recruitment of more than 60 thousand 200 police personnel was also completed...".

Earlier on Sunday, highlighting the government's employment drive, the CM said that in the last eight years, 8.5 lakh youths have been provided government jobs, with recruitment processes completed regularly through commissions and boards. "Today, there is a shower of jobs in UP, both in the government and private sectors. The youth selected through fair recruitment are now serving the state with honesty and energy," he added.

The Chief Minister also contrasted today's Uttar Pradesh with the situation before 2017, when the state was labelled a "Bimaru" (sick) state. "Earlier, youths faced an identity crisis outside the state, and UP was seen as a barrier to the nation's development. But in the last eight years, we have transformed UP into the country's number two economy and the growth engine of India," Yogi said.

Earlier today, CM Yogi held a 'Janta Darshan' program in Lucknow during which he addressed the grievances of the public. (ANI)
