President Droupadi Murmu on Friday extended wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad's birth anniversary, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
In a post on X, President Murmu urged the people to move forward with the spirit of brotherhood, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and work towards the country's development. "On the sacred occasion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) 's birth anniversary, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all my fellow countrymen, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered the message of unity and service to humanity," the president said in her post. The Prophet's birthday is observed on 12 Rabi Ul Awwal, which is the third month according to the Islamic calendar. One of the most essential parts of Eid Milad-un-Nabi is to celebrate the life of the Prophet, his teachings, sufferings, and his character, as he even forgave his enemies.
