In the backdrop of the Monsoon Parliament session, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP), Sanjay Jaiswal, on Monday, called for an open discussion on any issues.

"The Parliamentary Affairs Minister clearly stated yesterday that we are ready to discuss any issue. You can discuss any issue you want," said Jaiswal, speaking to ANI.

Speaking on the Special Intensive Report (SIR) of Bihar, Jaiswal further said, "The opposition should be aware that 95% of the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) has been completed. The opposition wanted to stop SIR so that Bangladeshi, Rohingyas can also cast their vote in this country."

Earlier today, the Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat expressed his opinion that issues like the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, the Manipur situation and the SIR in Bihar should be discussed.

While speaking to ANI, Bhagat stated, "In this Parliament session, we expect the government to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, how the ceasefire was agreed upon, and MPs' global outreach (on Operation Sindoor). At the time when we demanded a special session of Parliament, the govt did not do so...Issues which also must be discussed are SIR in Bihar, Trump's claims (of brokering peace between India and Pakistan) and the situation in Manipur."

This is the first session of Parliament being held after Operation Sindoor, India's precision strike on terror camps in the aftermath of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people.

Earlier, the Opposition had demanded that the Centre convene a special session of Parliament in the wake of Operation Sindoor.

The INDIA bloc will demand justice for the victims and question the government's handling of the attack.MPs are also expected to raise questions regarding the aviation sector, including those related to passenger safety, the inspection of 787 Dreamliner aircraft, and the safety measures and audits undertaken by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
