Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Kumar Jha on Thursday criticised the NDA government in Bihar over the Paras Hospital firing incident, asserting that the state's law and order situation should be a national concern.

Speaking to ANI, the RJD Rajya Sabha MP said, "Bihar should be a matter of concern for the entire country... Crimes occur every day in Bihar... Is this the rule of law? ... When will the Prime Minister send a fact-finding committee to Bihar?..."

Further reacting to the 125 units of free electricity decision in bihar ahead of polls, Jha said, "This is not a master stroke. It is a stroke borrowed from another master. He had committed 200 units free while only 125 units were made free... Tejashwi Yadav, who originally gave the idea, should be made CM because Nitish Kumar is following the benchmarks set by him."

This comes after unidentified assailants shot a prisoner admitted at a hospital in Patna.

A prisoner, Chandan Mishra, was out on parole on the grounds of required medical attention and was admitted to Paras Hospital for treatment when unidentified assailants barged into the hospital on Thursday morning and shot him, Patna SSP Kartikay Sharma said.

Chandan Mishra was a known criminal with dozens of murder cases registered against him. The Police believe that the rival gang has carried out the shooting. The prisoner is undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, In another instance of crime in Bihar on Thursday morning, the blood-soaked body of Rakesh Singh's 20-year-old son Shivam, alias Bunty, was found lying outside his house in Hathiyakandh village under the Shahpur police station area, Superintendent of Police (SP) West Patna Bhanu Pratap Singh stated.

According to the deceased's family members, Shivam used to study in a rented house in Danapur with his parents and had come to the village only four days ago.

The deceased's grandfather, Devendra Singh, said that on Sunday night he came to sleep in their room but went to another room, saying that he would come after putting the mobile on charge. Then, when he did not come back, he thought that he might have slept in the same room, but in the morning his body was found outside the house.
