RJD leader Mritunjay Tiwari on Thursday criticised law and order situation in Bihar saying that there's 'Gunda Raj' in the state as "criminals do not fear police anymore."

Speaking with ANI, Mritunjay Tiwari said, "There is 'Gunda Raj' in Bihar. The criminals don't fear the police anymore...Crime is out of control in Bihar. The state government is silent...No one is safe in Bihar...The law and order situation in Bihar has collapsed"

Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh echoed the RJD spokesperson sayin, "No one is safe in Bihar...The incidents of murder during the NDA rule have increased. Crime against women and children have increased."

This comes after unidentified assailants shot a prisoner admitted at a hospital in Patna.

A prisoner, Chandan Mishra, was out on parole on the grounds of required medical attention and was admitted to Paras Hospital for treatment, when unidentified assailants barged into the hospital on Thursday morning and shot him, Patna SSP Kartikay Sharma said.

Chandan Mishra was a known criminal with dozens of murder cases registered against him. The Police believe that the rival gang has carried out the shooting. The prisoner is undergoing treatment.
