Uttarakhand CM participates in inauguration of Shravani Mela, calls Jageshwar Dham a "symbol of mythological cultural heritage"

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually participated in the inauguration of Shravani Mela 2025, organised by Jageshwar Temple Committee on Wednesday. He wished all the devotees and organisers of the fair.

The Chief Minister said that Jageshwar Dham is a symbol of the mythological cultural heritage of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that Shravani Mela is not only a religious event, but it is also a living symbol of our folk faith, traditions and cultural values, said the release from CMO.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Amritkal of the revival of our cultural heritage is going on. The reconstruction of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Lok and Kedarnath-Badrinath Dham are excellent examples of this.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the preservation and development of major religious places of Kumaon under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission. Rs 146 crore has been approved in the first phase of Jageshwar Master Plan. Development projects of the second phase have also been approved.

The Chief Minister said that a 40 km cycle track is being developed along the Kosi river in Almora district, Sheetlakhet as eco-tourism, Dwarahat and Binsar as spiritual tourism.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is working to make Uttarakhand a leading state. According to the report of NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand has secured the first position in the country in sustainable development goals. The unemployment rate in the state has come down to the national average. In the last four years, more than 24,000 youth have been provided government jobs.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has also taken strict steps like strict anti-conversion law, Uniform Civil Code and Operation Kalanemi to protect religious and cultural values. (ANI)
