The BJP Minority Morcha is set to launch a nationwide campaign "Kalam Ko Salaam", on July 27, to pay tribute to the former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, popularly known as the "Missile Man of India", on his 10th death anniversary. The party will organize various district-level programs across the country under the leadership of Minority Morcha National President Jamal Siddiqui.

As part of the "Kalam Ko Salaam" campaign, the Minority Morcha will honour talented youth from minority communities with the "Dr. Kalam Startup Youth Award 2.0". This award will be given to young individuals who have started their own enterprises through innovation, exceptional skills, and entrepreneurial spirit, and who serve as inspiring examples for society. Preparations for the campaign are already underway.

To review the preparations, BJP National General Secretary and Minority Morcha In-Charge Dushyant Gautam has called a review meeting on July 16, 2025, at the BJP Headquarters in Delhi. Minority Morcha National President Jamal Siddiqui will chair the meeting, and it will include national office bearers, executive members, state presidents, general secretaries, and media in-charges. A social media workshop is also scheduled for July 17.

Speaking to the media, Jamal Siddiqui stated that the "Kalam Ko Salaam" campaign aims to honour Dr. Kalam's contribution to India's development and to pay homage to him. He emphasized that the BJP values all individuals who have risen above caste and religion to strengthen the nation. He added that Prime Minister Modi is committed to giving a distinct identity to talented youth from minority communities.

He said, "Minority youth entrepreneurs can apply for the 'Dr. Kalam Startup Youth Award 2.0' through the official BJP Minority Morcha website. To facilitate the nomination process, links and QR codes will also be shared on the Morcha's social media platforms, allowing applicants to directly access the nomination page or apply by scanning the QR code."

Registration for "Dr. Kalam Startup Youth Award 2.0" will start from July 16, and applications will be made from July 16 to August 6. Shortlisting of nominations will be done from August 3 to August 6. Invitation letters will be sent to the selected participants from August 6 to August 9.
