West Bengal's social activist Pirzada Amin joins Congress

Social activist Pirzada Khobayeb Amin joined the Congress on Saturday.

He was inducted into the party by AICC General Secretary (West Bengal in-charge) Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Chairman of the AICC's Media and Publicity department Pawan Khera and state Congress president Subhankar Sarkar, state president of Mahila Congress Subrata Dutta at the AICC office.

Khera said that Pirzada Amin belongs to a renowned family of West Bengal. He said, the family commands a lot of influence in Odisha and Tripura besides West Bengal.

He said that Amin's family has contributed to promoting education in the society.

AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that Pirzada Amin's family has been dedicated to serving society and religion for many years. (ANI)
