Congress National spokesperson Atul Londhe on Wednesday condemned ED's prosecution complaint against Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and others in the alleged National Herald money laundering case was and stated that it was another big example of how investigation agencies were being politically used.

He further stated that it was a dangerous precedent for the country and the democracy.

"This is another big example of how investigation agencies are politically used. We have said this again and again that not even one paisa has been laundered...This is a dangerous precedent for the country and for democracy. We condemn this. Congress workers are not going to be scared..." Londhe said, speaking to ANI.

Speaking on the pleas filed in the Supreme Court against the Waqf Amendment Act, Londhe said that the amendments were unconstitutional and an attempt to grab the land anyway. Further, he stated that all the lies in the Bill and attempts to mislead the people had been noticed.

"These are unconstitutional amendments...This is an attempt to grab land anyhow. It is Waqf land today, it will be churches' land tomorrow, they have already interfered with temples and mutts...All the lies that were said through this Bill and the attempts to mislead, people have noticed this Hindu-Muslim politics and they have understood...So, out of fear, attempts have been made to scare Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Congress. They should understand that nobody is going to be scared of this," the Congress national spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, Muslim League (IUML) National General Secretary PK Kunhalikutty said that the Waqf Amendment Act went against the Constitution.

Speaking to ANI, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) National General Secretary PK Kunhalikutty said, "We are confident. The Supreme Court is taking up the matter. We have given our petition, and senior Advocate Kapil Sibal is appearing. It (the Waqf Amendment Act) is against the Constitution. That is what we believe." (ANI)
