Congress MP Kiran Kumar Chamala has strongly criticised politicians from the BJP and the BRS for what he called a "fake canvassing" against the Telangana government, particularly concerning the Hyderabad Central University and the adjacent government land.

He also alleged that certain political figures in the BJP and BRS had "malafide intentions" and were politically motivated.

He said, "Recently, everybody has seen that there is a fake canvassing against Government of Telangana regarding Hyderabad Central University and the government land existing adjacent to it. Politicians like that in BJP and BRS have a malafide intentions, they are politically motivated to do that."

He expressed concern over the role of influencers and celebrities, who, according to him, failed to address the issue truthfully.

He said, "Looking at some of the celebrities who are influencers in society, didn't speak anything real because they have been influenced by these politicians who have a mindset of negativity towards Telangana government."

He further added that these individuals used AI-generated videos on their official platforms, which depicted false scenarios, creating a misleading narrative that things were happening in Telangana that were not real.

He said, "They have used AI-generated videos on their official platforms, showing things that are non-existent as existing, creating a movement in the public. Everyone started thinking that something is happening in Telangana. So, the government has filed a petition against them that such influencers should not use their credibility in doing such damages to anybody."

Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy embarked on a programme of 'Lunch with beneficiary families" of the Congress government's "Fine Rice" distribution scheme in Sarapaka village of Burgampadu mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday, according to an official statement from the CM's Office.

According to the statement, after attending Srirama Navami rituals at the famous Sita Ramachandraswamy temple in the temple town of Bhadrachalam, the Chief Minister drove to the house of Buram Srinivas, one of the beneficiaries of the Fine Rice distribution scheme in the village.

CM Revanth Reddy had lunch with the family. During the lunch, the CM inquired about the family's living conditions, the statement added. (ANI)
