BJP's Delhi Minister Majinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday alleged large-scale corruption by AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal the former Chief Minister of the national capital.

A CAG report on the 'Prevention of Air Pollution from Vehicles' was tabled in the Delhi Assembly today.

"Why was this report not tabled till now? It has become clear why the opposition has run away from the House. The opposition is not in the House because the opposition gets a call from Mr. Kejriwal. Mr. Kejriwal has gone into depression and has gone to Punjab, so he is not able to come out of the shock. He has gone to Punjab to come out of the shock," Sirsa said.

The minster further blamed the Kejriwal government for Delhi's worsening air quality, saying, "Pollution is coming from Kejriwal's loot, pollution was coming from the treatment of Kejriwal's Sheeshmahal"

The minister also criticized AAP's response to the report: "They say that the CAG report is not understood by them. They understand scams, but this report is not read by them. Then they say, present all 14 reports together. If one report is not read by them, how will they read 14?"

Sirsa alleged that AAP had destroyed DTC buses through scams, forcing crores of people to switch to two-wheelers. He also pointed out that while Rs53 crore was spent on the odd-even scheme, DTC's bus fleet shrank drastically.

"DTC buses destroyed by the Aam Aadmi Party by scamming, due to which people started using two-wheelers, crores of people started using two-wheelers. Know about the odd-even scheme in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party spent Rs 53 crore only for the odd-even scheme," he said.

"In 2011, till 2015, DTC had 89 buses on the roads, but gradually, only 14-15% of buses were running, and the rest were damaged and left idle. Scams were committed one after another, and I often feel sorry that this person will spend his entire life in jail or will he ever come out?" he added.

Sirsa alleged that 22.14 lakh pollution checks were conducted in Delhi, but 1.08 lakh vehicles that exceeded the pollution limit were still issued PUC certificates after bribes were paid, contributing to increased pollution in the city.

"22 lakh 14 thousand pollution checks were done, and 1 lakh 8 thousand vehicles that had passed the PUC certificate exceeded the limit, but they were still given certificates after taking money, which increased pollution in Delhi. So many scams happened. How much money would the Aam Aadmi Party have made, 500 or 5000 crores? (ANI)
