MoS Raksha Khadse applauds Budget 2025, says "PM Modi has tried to bring women forward"

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse has praised the Union Budget 2025 for its emphasis on women empowerment, especially in rural areas.

"The Prime Minister of our country has tried to bring women forward, and once again we have seen in this Budget that full provisions have been made to bring women forward," Khadse said, celebrating the government's continued focus on women's upliftment. She emphasised that women in rural areas are becoming more self-reliant and capable as a result of these initiatives.

Khadse also spoke about Prime Minister Modi's vision for a developed India by 2047, stating, "The resolution of a developed India by 2047 made by PM Modi and the people of the country, today through this Budget we will see its fulfilment in the future."

Notably, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget speech announced an increase in the money allocated to Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 scheme, in her eighth Budget presentation on Saturday.

In her speech, Nirmala said that the scheme provides nutritional support to more than eight crore children, one crore pregnant women and lactating mothers, and around 20 lakh adolescent girls in aspirational districts and the northeastern region.

She said that the cost norms for this nutritional support will be enhanced appropriately.

The Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 integrated nutrition support programmes were approved by the government of India for implementation during the 15th Finance Commission period 202l-22 to 2025-26.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the "comprehensive" and "visionary" Budget.

Highlighting the Union government's decision to exempt income tax up to Rs 12 lakh, Shah said that the middle class is always in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's heart.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the 2025 Budget in the Parliament on Saturday.

Shah termed Budget 2025 as the blueprint of the Modi government's vision towards building a developed and best India in every field. (ANI)
