As various religious leaders demanded the formation of a "Sanatan board," while holding a Dharam sansad in Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh, Spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur mentioned that such a board is important for "saving their existence and religion."
The spiritual leader further told ANI on Monday that the various Hindu leaders have "only asked for two things," namely the creation of a Sanatan board and the abolition of Waqf board. "We passed a proposal in which one thing is certain that we want a 'Sanatan Dharm Sansad'. The by-laws, committee and its structure, everything is with the media. We have all signed on it and will send it to the government. All saints have asked for just two things- the creation of the Sanatan Board and to do away with the Waqf Board," he told ANI. He further praised the current Uttar Pradesh government and the union government, calling it a positive influence for Hindus, and using this time to "save our religion," by appealing to the government for the establishment of the board. Earlier today, the Sanatan Dharam Sansad was convened by Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj himself, during which the sansad put forth the groundwork for the constitution of the Sanatana Board, as various religious leaders raised the demand. "Today the Hindus of the country are awakened through the media. This is the right time to get a Sanatan Board. It is our right to form a Sanatan Board," said Swami Ashutoshanand. "The Waqf Board has taken over the country. Some fools have claimed that the land of Kumbh is also theirs. Now there is a need for a Sanatan Board," Swami Chinmayananda slammed the Waqf Board. Shriji Maharaj said that Sanatana Dharma Sansad will ensure what the future of our country, India, will be like and called all those demanding a Sanatan board "revolutionaries." "Not just India; we have rights over every corner of the world. A Sanatan Board will help us get back our temples. Formation of the Sanatan Board is necessary for the nation and Sanatani people," said Swami Vidyabhaskar. The draft called for the establishment of the Sanatan Hindu Board to manage, protect, and oversee Hindu temples, their properties and endowments. The proposed board will be set up as an independent body which will be responsible for maintenance of Hindu Temples. The Board will ensure protection of Vedic Sanatan worship system and tradition. It will include only those persons who believe in Hinduism and have a strong desire to serve Sanatan Traditions. (ANI)
