In the spiritual expanse of the ongoing Maha Kumbh, Bageshwar Dham Chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri on Sunday met with Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, during the Kumbh mela in Prayagraj.

Reflecting on the confluence of saints, devotees, and spirituality at the sacred Triveni Sangam, Shastri described the gathering as a "Mahasangam" that transcends imagination. He further noted that the Maha Kumbh brings together revered figures and devout followers, making it a truly divine and unique event.

Speaking to ANI, he said, "This is a Sangam of Triveni, of saints, devotees, masters, master and server and God and devotees... Swami Chidanand Maharaj is holding a Mahasangam of all the saints in Mahakumbh..."

"On January 30th, a Dharm Sansad will be held for the nation and the awakening of Hindutva... It is a unique experience and beyond imagination... All the saints and Mahatmas here are chanting and even when some of them don't have any facilities...," he added.

Earlier in the day, spiritual leader Morari Bapu, Swami Chidanand Saraswati--the spiritual head of the Rishikesh-based Parmarth Niketan Ashram--and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati unfurled the national flag during the Maha Kumbh, on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to make a one-day visit to Prayagraj on Monday to take part in the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, as per a release from the Maha Kumbh Media Centre.

According to the release, Shah is scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj at 11:25 AM on Monday, following which he will take a holy bath at the Triveni Sangam. He will then visit the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple and Abhayvat.

Maha Kumbh, which commenced on January 13, will continue until February 26. The next key bathing dates include January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami - Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri). (ANI)
