In the spiritual expanse of the ongoing Maha Kumbh, Bageshwar Dham Chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri on Sunday met with Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, during the Kumbh mela in Prayagraj.
Reflecting on the confluence of saints, devotees, and spirituality at the sacred Triveni Sangam, Shastri described the gathering as a "Mahasangam" that transcends imagination. He further noted that the Maha Kumbh brings together revered figures and devout followers, making it a truly divine and unique event. Speaking to ANI, he said, "This is a Sangam of Triveni, of saints, devotees, masters, master and server and God and devotees... Swami Chidanand Maharaj is holding a Mahasangam of all the saints in Mahakumbh..." "On January 30th, a Dharm Sansad will be held for the nation and the awakening of Hindutva... It is a unique experience and beyond imagination... All the saints and Mahatmas here are chanting and even when some of them don't have any facilities...," he added. Earlier in the day, spiritual leader Morari Bapu, Swami Chidanand Saraswati--the spiritual head of the Rishikesh-based Parmarth Niketan Ashram--and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati unfurled the national flag during the Maha Kumbh, on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day.
