Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi on Friday extended greetings on the occasion of National Girl Child Day and said that the women of India today are filled with dreams of progress.

"Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar ji had said, "I measure the progress of a society by the progress of women in that society," Priyanka Gandhi quoted Ambedkar on X.

"The women of India today are filled with dreams of progress and aspirations for the future. They are flying high in every field. Women, a symbol of strength, courage, dedication and patience, are our pride. Let us pledge that we will ensure equality and justice for our daughters and give them their full rights.
