Delhi minister and AAP candidate from Babarpur assembly seat Gopal Rai on Tuesday exuded confidence in winning the Delhi Assembly Polls and said that the people of the national capital want work and for that, they need Kejriwal's government.

Speaking to ANI, Rai appealed to the people to vote for the AAP in the polls.

"People of Delhi want work and for work, they need Kejriwal's government. The last time the BJP MLA won in Rohtash Nagar, the result was that the entire area was covered with stagnation and development came to a halt. I appeal to the people to vote for AAP candidate this time," he said.

Slamming the BJP, the AAP leader said that they have no intention to work for the people of Delhi.

"BJP has no leader, there was a tussle even when the manifesto that they brought. Now they have brought the second piece of the manifesto and a panchayat is going on for the third one. They do not have the intention to work. If they had the intention, they would have done some work in Delhi as their seven MPs are winning for the last two times," Gopal Rai added.

Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal said that the priority of his party in the next five years will be to eliminate unemployment and for this, his entire team is focused.

Addressing a public rally in New Delhi's Adarsh Nagar area in support of AAP Candidate Mukesh Goel, Kejriwal said, "In the next five years, our priority will be how to eliminate unemployment. My entire team is focused on this. My team consists of very good and educated people--Atishi, Gopal Rai, Satyendra Jain, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha--but their (BJP) team is made up of uneducated people."

He emphasized that with the public support, they have done a lot of work in Delhi.

"The biggest being that Delhi now gets 24-hour electricity. But the BJP has governments in 24 states, and none of them provide 24-hour electricity. As soon as you press the button with the lotus symbol, your electricity will be cut off," Kejriwal said.

The Delhi Assembly elections are going to take place on February 5, with counting of votes scheduled for February 8. (ANI)
