Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) | January 11, 2025 7:42:36 PM IST
As Ayodhya celebrated the first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to people to work for national integration as religious places first have to suffer the consequences of division based on caste and region.

Yogi Adityanath was addressing a gathering during the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations in Ayodhya commemorating one year of Shri Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha.

"One thing that we have to keep under consideration that what are those circumstances under which our society was divided and our religious places were being disrespected. If we remain divided based on caste, then we will have to face similar challenges in future as well. So when we work to make national integration stronger then Sanatam Dharm and the nation will also get stronger," said CM Yogi.

"But if our nation is divided based on caste, region, language, then religious places will be the first to suffer the consequences. Daughters and sisters have to face the consequences. So this Pratishtha Dwadashi celebration is motivating us to take the initiative for national integration so that such a situation never arises again," he added.

Further, mentioning the statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's during Pran Pratishtha last year CM Yogi said, "PM Modi had also said a year ago that Lord Ram is the symbol of the nation. 'Ram hain toh rashtra hain, rashtra hain toh Ram hain' as both are complementary to each other."

Talking about the developmental works and makeover done to the religious city post 2014 after BJP came into power in center CM Yogi said, "On an average, 1.5 to 2 lakh devotees are reaching Ayodhya every day... Before 2014, there was no electricity in Ayodhya. There was no cleanliness in Ayodhya... There was no airport in Ayodhya. But today Ayodhya has an international airport... Four-lane and six-lane roads have been built in Ayodhya. The ghats of the Saryu River attract tourists from all over the country."

Notably, the three day clebration of Pratishtha Dwadashi commenced following the alignment of the Hindu calendar. Last year, this sacred event was celebrated on Kurma Dwadashi during the Shukla Paksha of the Hindu calendar's Paush month. This year, the Shukla Paksha falls on January 11.

The three-day celebrations commenced with an Agnihotra ritual accompanied by mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda. This was followed by the chanting of 'Ram Naam' six lakh times, along with the recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa.

At the temple's ground floor, 'Rag Seva' was organised from 3 pm to 5 pm, and was to be followed by a congratulatory song at 6 pm. A Musical Manas recitation was also held on the first floor of the passenger convenience centre.

Other events include a Ram Katha at the 'Angad Tila' inside the temple premises, followed by a Manas Discourse and a cultural program. Lakhs of devotees have been visiting Ayodhya since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla. The Hanumangarhi temple has also witnessed a sharp increase in the number of daily visitors.
