Former minister Kurasala Kannababu criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's Vision 2047, calling it a "dramatic and unrealistic" political gimmick designed to mislead the public. He likened it to "old wine in a new bottle," citing past failures of similar initiatives.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Kannababu dismissed the vision document, pointing out repeated failures with earlier plans such as Vision 2020 and Vision 2029.

"Naidu's earlier promises failed to materialise, leading to disappointment and stagnation rather than progress for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Vision 2020, which he once presented as a blueprint for a developed Andhra Pradesh, turned out to be an illusion. Now, Vision 2047 is yet another attempt to deceive the public," he said.

Kannababu highlighted the progress made under the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, crediting welfare-oriented programmes that have directly benefited the people.

"Chandrababu prioritises superficial policies over tangible development initiatives. In contrast, under CM Reddy's leadership, Andhra Pradesh has witnessed genuine progress through welfare schemes that directly impact the people," he said.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and not be swayed by hollow promises and exaggerated vision documents. "People deserve practical solutions and sincere leadership, not empty rhetoric," he added. (ANI)
