President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday inaugurated Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir school at Zanda Chowk in Silvassa.
President Murmu shared light moments with the students, playing games and reciting poems with them. Addressing a public function, the President highlighted the rich historical, cultural and natural heritage of the region. She highlighted the youth's contribution to the creation of developed India. "President said that expansion in tourism will create new employment opportunities in the UT," the President said. On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu interacted with Anitaben Krishan Halpati, a tribal resident of UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The President asked her about her life journey and source of livelihood. Anitaben shared how she has benefitted from PM SVANidhi scheme that helped improve her socio-economic status.
