As campaigning for by-elections of two seats in Madhya Pradesh concluded today, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief VD Sharma has expressed confidence to win both the seats with a historic margin.
Two assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh which include Vijaypur assembly seat in Sheopur district and Budhni seat in Sehore district will undergo by-poll on November 13 and the counting of votes will be done on November 23. "Today is the last day of the election campaign for the by-election of both Budhni and Vijaypur assembly constituencies in the state. The blessing of people we are receiving under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the enthusiasm seen, I have full faith that the Bharatiya Janata Party will win both the by-elections with a historic margin. We will certainly receive the blessings of the public," Sharma told ANI. He further added that the party workers were working hard and tirelessly in both the assembly constituencies and the BJP would get the blessings of the people. The BJP leader further targeted the Congress party saying that the grand old party left with no issues and the public had rejected them. "The Congress party has no issues. The public has rejected the Congress, so they can only make allegations. They are doing negative politics, but the people have seen the Bharatiya Janata Party. The public is putting a stamp on the development and public welfare work of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP will win both the by-elections with a majority," he added. Notably, the Budhni assembly seat is the bastion of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and it got vacant as he got elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Vidisha constituency in the recently concluded general election 2024. Vijaypur assembly seat in Sheopur district fell vacant after Ramniwas Rawat, who was sitting MLA from the seat from Congress party, quit the grand old party and joined the BJP amid the Lok Sabha elections in April this year. Currently, Rawat is the Forest and Environment Minister in the cabinet of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. (ANI)
