"In a difficult and sensitive time like the unfortunate road accident that happened in Almora yesterday, the society needed to show solidarity and sympathy, but on the contrary, Mohammad Aamir (present resident, Ramnagar) showed extreme insensitivity on social media and also wrote indecent things regarding this accident," read a post from the Chief Minister's Office on X.

Following public complaints and numerous social media tags directed to CM Dhami, he directed the police to take immediate action, resulting in Aamir's arrest. The CMO further stated that any form of insensitivity or extremist ideology that threatens peace and social harmony will not be tolerated in the state.

Furthermore, a lot of people tagged the Uttarakhand Chief Minister on social media and requested for action to be taken against Aamir. CM Dhami directed the police department to take immediate action which resulted in Aamir's arrest. The CMO further stated that any form of insensitivity or extremist ideology that threatens peace and social harmony will not be tolerated in the state.

"After this, many people tagged the Chief Minister Shri @pushkardhami on social media and requested action. Taking cognizance of this, the Chief Minister directed the police department and Mohammad Aamir was arrested," according to the post on X.

"The spread of insensitivity, religious frenzy and jihadi ideology in the state will not be tolerated at any cost. Such activities pose a serious threat to the peace and harmony of society, which is not justified in any way. Maintaining peace and order in the state is the priority of the state government," read a post from the CMO on X.

Earlier, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Ram Dutt Joshi Government Combined Hospital in Ramnagar to meet the injured and inquire about the health of the injured people. CM Dhami was accompanied by BJP MP Anil Baluni.

CM Dhami said, "Instructions have already been given that strict action will be taken against those who are guilty."

Following the incident, CM Dhami ordered a magisterial inquiry and cancelled all his scheduled programs because of the incident. (ANI)
