Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo launched a scathing attack on Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Wednesday, claiming that the 'Soren dynasty' will be finished in the upcoming Jharkhand elections.

"I don't think that Hemant Soren is going to become the Chief Minister of Jharkhand again in history. The way the Mughal dynasty ended with Bahadur Shah Zafar, the Soren dynasty will politically end with Hemant Soren," he told ANI.

He further said that the government has been embroiled in corruption and has failed to stop harassment of women and murders.

"The way the government has cheated all sections of Jharkhand. There were allegations of a scam of Rs 70,000 crores and 7,400 cases of women harassment were seen...In the tenure of the government, more than 7,000 murders took place, more than 2.5 lakh cognizable offences took placem," he added.

He further said that there has been a "loot" of various things under the Hemant Soren-led government, "There way there was a loot in sand, coal, stone, transfer postings."

Earlier, BJP's state chief Babu Lal Marandi also criticised the government, saying that the people are "tired" of Hemant Soren's administration and want to bring the BJP to power instead.

Speaking to ANI, Marandi said, "The people of Jharkhand are fed up of seeing the Hemant Soren government for 5 years. For 5 years, the power of Jharkhand has been in the hands of brokers, middlemen, and corrupt officials. Now the people want to get free from that and want to hand over the power to the BJP."

The elections for the 81 seat assembly in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23.

A total of 2.60 crore voters are eligible to cast their votes in Jharkhand, including 1.31 crore male voters and 1.29 crore female voters. The state has 11.84 lakh first-time voters and 66.84 lakh young voters. (ANI)
