Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Jamtara assembly seat, Sita Soren, filed her nomination on Monday.

She pledged to complete unfinished development projects and vowed to "free the people from the terror of Irfan Ansari," whom she accused of oppressing the constituency for years.

"I want to assure the people of Jamtara that we will complete the development projects that remain unfinished, and we will free them from the grip of Irfan Ansari, who has held them down for so many years. Jamtara will see progress in the coming days. I understand the situation here, and the public's support fills me with confidence," said Soren.

On Saturday, Soren revealed that the BJP had lodged a complaint with the Election Commission regarding Ansari's recent remarks, adding that he would not be forgiven for his comments.

"I cannot fathom where he gets the nerve to make such statements. Who is empowering him to speak this way? No one in Jharkhand has ever made such remarks against me. The party has notified the Election Commission, and we will not let this go. The entire tribal community is angry," Sita Soren told ANI.

Sita Soren is the BJP's candidate for the Jamtara constituency in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, facing Congress candidate Irfan Ansari, representing the INDIA bloc. Ansari recently caused a stir by referring to Sita Soren as a "rejected" and "borrowed" candidate.

The BJP will contest the Jharkhand assembly elections in alliance with the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). The BJP is set to contest 68 seats, AJSU 10 seats, JD(U) two seats, and LJP one seat.

Elections for Jharkhand's 81 assembly seats will take place in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23. (ANI)
