Preparations are underway for Ayodhya's grandest Deepotsav, with all departments working diligently on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's instructions to enhance the festival's splendour, the Chief Minister's Office reported.

As part of the celebrations, the Animal Husbandry Department has committed to lighting 1.5 lakh cow dung diyas during Deepotsav. On Monday, Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh met the Chief Minister and symbolically presented cow dung diyas and other cow-based products, marking a significant step in the state's initiatives toward cow conservation and promotion.

The Yogi government aims to light over 35 lakh diyas in Ayodhya, with 28 lakh diyas illuminating 55 ghats along the Saryu River, setting a new world record. The Chief Minister commended the Animal Husbandry Department's commitment to lighting 1.5 lakh cow dung diyas as part of this grand celebration.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his dedication to cow protection, instructing officials to organise cow worship programmes at cow shelters across the state on Govardhan Puja. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, public representatives, social workers, and cow enthusiasts will participate in these events to promote awareness and care for cows.

He also directed that proper maintenance, ample green fodder, and regular health check-ups be ensured at all cow shelters in the state, emphasising that cow protection and promotion remain top government priorities. (ANI)
