Thane (Maharashtra) | October 28, 2024 7:11:55 PM IST
Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena candidate from Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly constituency, Eknath Shinde conducted a roadshow in Thane on Monday and met the people of the constituency.

Speaking to ANI, Shinde said that the upcoming Assembly election will be a record-breaking one.

"People have participated in this rally today. It will be a record-breaking election. There is not just an atmosphere of election but of a festival. This is a matter of pride for me," he said.

Daughter-in-law of CM Shinde and wife of Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, Vrushali Shrikant Shinde emphasised the work done by the ruling government in the state exuding confidence that CM Shine will win the elections.

"Women themselves are stepping forward and saying that he (CM) is their brother and he has done something for them. They get Rs 1500 per month in their own accounts, so they think about what they can do with that money. Besides this, a 50 per cent discount has been provided on State Transport buses. So, that too is an advantage for women," she said.

"There has been growth - be it roads or metro, they are all very important for people in this era...Together, how this Government has worked, had never happened before. This is happening for the first time in 2.5 years...You can see the love of people, he (CM Shinde) will win 100%. There is no doubt about it," Vrushali added.

Shinde filed his nomination on Monday from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi Assembly constituency, for the Maharashtra assembly election.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, MP Shrikant Shinde, MP Naresh Mhaske, MLA Pratap Sarnaik, former MLA Ravindra Phatak, CM's wife Lata Shinde, daughter-in-law Vrishali Shinde, grandson Rudransh were present when he filed his nomination.

Notably, Tuesday is the last date for filing nominations for the Maharashtra assembly elections.

Both the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition MVA -- comprising the Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress -- have no stone unturned to secure victory in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

The BJP is part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance alongside the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP secured 122 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the Congress 42. (ANI)
