Reacting to RJD being disappointed over seat-sharing deal for Jharkhand assembly polls, Congress leader Rameshwar Oraon said some disagreement is "bound to happen" and thanked the party's high command for giving him a ticket from the Lohardaga Assembly constituency.

"I thank the party for giving me a ticket from the Lohardaga Assembly constituency. The party made me a CLP leader. Seat sharing arrangements have been made for the seventy seats on the rest of the seats the situation will be clear soon. When distribution takes place it is bound that someone will get a bigger share and the other will get a smaller share," Oraon said, when asked about reported disagreement with RJD on seat sharing agreement.

The Assembly elections in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20 and votes will be counted on November 23.

The Congress party released its first list of 21 candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly polls on Monday night. Prominent names in the list include State Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, senior party leader Ajoy Kumar, and Jharkhand Health Minister Gupta. Rameshwar Oraon will contest from the Lohardaga (ST) seat reserved for Scheduled Tribes, Gupta from Jamshedpur West, and Ajoy Kumar from Jamshedpur East.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Saturday that the INDIA bloc will contest the Jharkhand Assembly polls together, with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress contesting 70 of the 81 seats in the state assembly. Hemant Soren stated that the remaining seats will be contested by other parties in the INDIA bloc, and talks are underway with the RJD and Left parties.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 66 candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections on Saturday.

The party's state chief, Babulal Marandi, will contest from Dhanwar, Lobin Hembrom from Borio, and Sita Soren from Jamtara. Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren has been nominated as the candidate from Saraikella, Geeta Balmuchu from Chaibasa, Geeta Koda from Jaganathpur, and Meera Munda, the wife of Union Minister Arjun Munda will contest from Potka.
