With the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) seat sharing arrangement for the Maharashtra assembly election set be finalised on Tuesday evening. Bharatiya Janta Party leader Nalin Kohli took a jibe at the Congress party and its allies. He said this alliance is not born organically with any kind of commonality of agenda.

Speaking to ANI on the MVA seat sharing in Maharashtra assembly elections, BJP leader Kohli said, "As far as the Congress and its so-called alliance partners are concerned, one has noticed a consistent trend not just in Maharashtra and Jharkhand presently, but in the Lok Sabha elections earlier as well. This is not an alliance born organically with any kind of commonality of agenda. It's an opportunistic political understanding that we will now oppose the BJP and we can therefore fight for power and seats..."Kohli further added that the agenda for BJP-NDA is to serve the people and an agenda of positivity in terms of governance. "This is completely different to the model of BJP-NDA, where there is an agenda of serving people, an agenda of positivity in terms of governance and there is no war of words...", he said.

Earlier, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole told ANI senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat had met Sharad Pawar and everything was on track.

"The situation in Mahayuti is more messed up than MVA... Seat sharing takes time because we have to keep our party workers in mind. Our issue will be resolved in a day or two. Balasaheb Thorat held a meeting with Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray and now I will meet Balasaheb Thorat. MVA seat-sharing meeting will be held after that. The problem lies in 25-30 seats but it will be resolved soon...", he said.

Meanwhile, on October 20, the Bharatiya Janyta Party released its first list of 99 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20. The results will be declared on November 23. (ANI)
